Memory Quilts

I make memory quilts from old clothes, curtains, bedding etc.  They usually contain childhood memories or it may be the whole family in one quilt.  You may wish to remember a particular occasion eg. a holiday or wedding using clothes from the occasion, however, if you have lost a loved one, child, spouse, parent or grandparent, it is a lovely way to keep and treasure their clothes.  Don't worry if you don't have a lot of clothes, you can have a small quilt made (cot size 33" x 44") which is useful for on the back of a sofa or chair etc, or some cushions can be made.  The possibilities are endless.

Here are a few examples of the things I have made over the 14 years.  They are all very different and unfortunately there are many I haven't photographed.  I try where possible to incorporate motifs, labels, pockets, buttons etc.

Please ring me before you post off your clothes and fabrics to discuss quantity and requirements.  I always use some of everything you send me, if something is really unsuitable (the texture) - I will discuss it with you first.

If you are short of clothes, don't worry, you can always add things ie. Grandmas apron, Grandpas shirt, nursery curtains, tray cloths etc.  The list is endless - I will help with suggestions.
